I’m Georgia McNally, lead dental nurse, and I joined Eye & Dental Clinic in September 2022.
Day to day, my role is split between life in surgery and keeping the clinic running smoothly behind the scenes. When I’m in surgery, I assist the dentists with everything from aspiration and instrument preparation to making sure appointments run on time. When I’m not chairside, I’m usually juggling stock orders, rotas, holidays, and all the little things that keep the clinic ticking, including making sure no one ever runs out of tea bags or coffee.
Supporting patients is one of the parts of my job I enjoy most. I love being a friendly, familiar face and a personal point of contact for patients. I try to take the clinical edge out of dentistry and offer a more relaxed, down-to-earth experience, especially for anyone who feels nervous about visiting the dentist.
I trained at Bury College through an apprenticeship programme and hold a Level 3 qualification in Dental Nursing. Learning on the job gave me a strong practical foundation and a real appreciation for teamwork in a busy clinic.
Clinically, I love being involved in full smile makeovers and seeing the confidence boost patients get from their results. Outside of work, I’m very family-oriented and enjoy spending time with my fiancée and friends whenever I get the chance.
