I’m Miss Rachel Lowe, a dental nurse, and I’ve been part of the team at Eye & Dental Clinic since 2022, with almost four years of experience in the role.
Day to day, my job involves setting up surgeries ready for both the dentists and patients, assisting during procedures, and preparing and organising lab work. I like knowing everything is in the right place and ready to go, as it helps the day run smoothly for everyone involved.
Supporting patients is a huge part of what I do. I’m particularly good at helping people feel calm and at ease, especially those who are nervous about dental treatment. I really enjoy seeing anxious patients grow in confidence and start to feel comfortable, to the point where they actually enjoy coming back for future visits.
Clinically, I have a strong interest in extractions, which I find really involved and interesting. I also love composite bonding, especially seeing the before and after results and the impact they have on a patient’s confidence.
Outside of work, I’m a mum and spend most of my free time with my family. I also have a real interest in languages and enjoy learning Spanish, Swedish and French, which keeps my brain busy when I’m not in the clinic.
